I got my girlfriend pregnant about 10 years ago. I didn’t want her to have the abortion, but she decided to. I was in love with her, and had always heard the arguments that the guy should stay out of the decision making because it’s the woman’s body and her choice. So I wanted to be a supportive boyfriend so I went with her. I knew what we were about to do was wrong. I could tell there was a new, beautiful life inside her because she was just absolutely glowing. She’d always been gorgeous but once she was pregnant she got 100x more beautiful. I knew there was a life inside her. When we got to the abortion clinic, my conscience was screaming at me the whole time. I felt like a nazi guard silently watching as innocent people were led to the gas chamber. I didn’t put up a fight, or protest. I just sat there and silently let my child be murdered. I thought I was being “a man” by supporting my girlfriend, but I wasn’t enough of a man to stick up for my child. As we left the clinic, I knew I’d helped support a murder. None of the pro-abortion arguments I’d held onto were enough to quiet my conscience. From that day on, my baby’s blood cried against me from the ground. The sky was always grey. No matter what good thing happened to me I couldn’t enjoy it, because I knew what I’d done. I started doing anything and everything I could, just to try to feel happy again for a few hours. I’d have sex with anyone I could find, just to feel alive for a few minutes. I’d drink a LOT and crank up the music and lose myself in it and pass out unconscious. That was the only thing that stopped my conscience’s pain. Every day I woke up I wanted to be dead. I so desperately wanted to be dead, but wasn’t brave enough to kill myself. But I was already completely dead inside. I became so full of hate for myself that I was just a walking rotten corpse of a person, holding nothing but anger and hatred. Any little thing that would kinda stress someone out would cause me to go into a huge rage and it would take everything I had not to beat someone up for doing something minor like being 2 minutes late to an appointment. Eventually all this anger and sex led me to lose the woman I’d done this for. Then I lost my job because I was being so nasty to people. I got another job but I’d spend every penny I had on dates and alcohol because I couldn’t live with myself. Finally, after about 8 years of living the most hellish existence I could ever, or never, have imagined, I couldn’t take it anymore. I couldn’t kill myself but I couldn’t live with the monster I’d become. I cried out to Jesus to forgive me, and I surrendered to Him. I told Him I’d do anything He asked, I just couldn’t live like this anymore. As soon as I said that, I was INSTANTLY washed clean inside. In one second I’d gone from a rotting corpse, to being as clean as a sparkling mountain lake. I was surrounded by a peace I didn’t know existed, and I was finally alive. That was about 2 years ago, and now I can look at myself in a mirror again, or look someone in the eyes when I shake their hand. Abortion will absolutely destroy your life, but Jesus will give you His.

My ex-girlfriend abruptly ended our relationship. A few months later she reached out to ask for forgiveness and told me she ended our relationship because she was pregnant and thought I wasn’t going to be with her. Truth is, she was seeing another man and wanted to try things out with new guy. New guy took her to have the abortion. When she called me to apologize, it was 530 AM and I said “oh I was dreaming we were playing with a beautiful baby girl” I forgive the infidelity but cannot and will not forgive her for killing my baby. Everyday I think what the baby would have looked like.

I was 38 years old, and my girlfriend at the time was 27. A friend of mine from work got us together, a little bit of a blind date that actually worked out. She was a pharmacy tech at the Costco, and I was a local truck driver driving primarily the Northwest but I would be home every few days. We were together for about 7 months when she told me that she was pregnant. The first thing I asked was “are you sure?” But she positive, she even had an ultrasound the day before and found out that she was 7 weeks 5 days pregnant. I have never been married, and I have no children, so for me this felt kinda awesome. I had a nice house, a good career, and a hecka of nice truck! She even made the comment that I would have to sell my truck, lol! I of course told her I would find another way on making the money, no way would I EVER sell that truck. I told my friend who hooked us up about the news, and he congratulated me. I didn’t tell anybody else yet, and I am not sure why that is, but I was thinking about how I would tell my mom that she would be a grandma. It was a few days later where things started to get quit. I felt uneasy about it, but I wasn’t completely worried about it. I came back from a trip up north, met up with my girlfriend as usual, and she wanted to talk. We were sitting at her living room table, and she told me that she thought it wasn’t the right time for all of this. That she was planning on moving to Redlands, California for a better paying job before this pregnancy happened, and she didn’t want something to keep her away from that. She told me that I am never around that much anyway and she didn’t want to be a “BURDEN.” And she told me that “HER MOM” told her that she should wait until she got her feet grounded before she started thinking about a family. Arguments happened over the next few days, me telling her that we can make it work and that I will do what’s needed, and her arguing in return saying that she doesn’t want this and that it’s her CHOICE. A couple days later and we get together again, and I remain calm this time, and she tells that she had an abortion before and that she would prefer having an abortion again. She doesn’t want to have a baby, and it’s nothing against me, but it’s just something she doesn’t want. In the end I just stopped fighting. I went from fun and happiness to sadness and dread all within a week. I told her I would help her out with her decision, and I guess I said this because I felt sorry for her. An appointment was made 11 days out, a day that would work around her schedule. For me I was thinking that maybe she would change her mind. Maybe I could somehow bump up my greatness and make her see that I am a nice guy and that maybe she would think otherwise. But that never happened, in fact she barely talked to me for those 11 days. It was June 11th, 2018, she was 10 weeks 5 days pregnant when I took her to a clinic in Redding, California. The time was 10:45am. All it was was a house on the corner with a fence surrounding it, you would never ever expect that it was an abortion clinic. But I dropped her off, and told her to call me when she was ready. I was in my truck at the Wal-Mart just down the road, trying not to imagine what was going on, and also trying to understand why all this happened so fast.. I remember the joke about the truck, her telling me that I’ll have to sell my truck, and me telling her NO WAY! I was sitting in that truck, and I thought that maybe if I had sold it last week that she would have changed her mind. She called me at 2:20pm, I picked her up, and she was obviously very different. I could tell that she had been crying, but she acted like everything was good. No words were exchanged for the 2 hour trip back home, all you could hear in the truck was some music from SiriusXM radio. I got her back to her place, she told me not to get out and that she would call me later. As I was leaving I noticed her mom coming out of her house, her mom waiting for her to come home. I tried calling her a few times. No response. She would text me saying “I can’t do this anymore, i’m not interested.” her mom would text me the next morning and say “please respect my daughters decision thank you.” And that was it. A relationship that nearly lasted 8 months but it all ended because of a pregnancy that ended in abortion. What more can I say???? I looked up the info on webmd on what a fetus looks like at 10 weeks 5 days. Looks and acts like a baby, arms and legs, fingers and toes. My name is Wayland, I am 41 years old, and my child was lost because of abortion. You can’t argue the truth.

I’m a 67 year old man and I’ve been married 45 years to my high school sweetheart. We have two grown children and four beautiful grandchildren! I got my wife pregnant before we were married when we were 19 years old. We were talked into aborting by my dad and my doctor. I truly regret killing our son to this day because he was an inconvenience to us and wish I would have been stronger. I know God has forgiven me, but sometimes the guilt is to hard to bear!

This is from a grown man’s perspective. As a teen I was in a position where announcing my girlfriends pregnancy would have been devastating to my mom who was in a fragile emotional state due to a divorce. Abortion had just recently been made legal. I knew it was wrong but I lacked the courage to persevere through the shame and hurt it would cause and pressed for an abortion since it was now “legal” after all. If I could only go back and change that forever life altering decision I would do so without one split second of hesitation. It has created an open wound in my heart & soul that has never been able to heal. I know the Lord died for our sins and I pray every day to be forgiven. He has blessed me with other children for which I am very grateful, but not a day goes by that I do not think that I would have a grown adult child present in my life who I denied the right to live. Let me suggest to you now whether you are the mom OR the dad, and regardless of your religious beliefs, there is NO emotional distress that will not heal over time regarding the circumstances causing you to consider an abortion. Have courage and things will be OK. But believe me and understand deeply the void in your heart and soul by following through with it may never be healed and that is something I wish on no one. If you’re young now, hard as it is to look years & decades further, just try to and imagine what it will be like. Please think twice and give that baby the right to live and you will be joyous and happy to have that person in your life I promise you. God Bless you.
